Khulumani's Board of Directors consist of several prominent members of society and respected by the Apartheid Survivor community. Marjorie Jobson, Shirley Gunn, Brandon Hamber, Kabelo Lengane, Thloki Mofokeng, Musa Ndlovu, Bishop Paul Verryn and Reverent Luke Pato.

  • Marjorie Jobson (Ex-Officio) is a Medical Doctor and serves as a Commissioner on the Commission for the Promotion and Protection of the Rights of Cultural, Religious and Linguistic Communities. See www.crlcommission.org.za for more information on this Chapter 9 institution. Marje has been with Khulumani since 1997.
  • Shirley Gunn (Secretary) is a well-known anti-apartheid activist and is very involved with the Khulumani Western Cape Provincial Structure. Shirley is director of the Human Rights Media Centre in Cape Town. See www.hrmc.org.za.
  • Brandon Hamber (International Advisor) is a Khulumani founder, clinical psychologist, researcher and writer. Born in South Africa, Brandon currently works in Northern Ireland. Visit his excellent website at www.brandonhamber.com
  • Kabelo Lengane (Legal Advisor) is an Advocate in private practice and serves Khulumani generously with his legal expertise. He has been with Khulumani since 2001.
  • Tlhoki Mofokeng (Chairperson) is a Development Facilitator and Trainer with the organisation, Imsimbi Training which he co-founded. See www.imsimbi.co.za Tlhoki chairs the Khulumani Board.
  • Musa Ndlovu (Deputy Chairperson) is a mediator in political conflict and serves on the mayoral committee of Richmond in the KwaZulu Natal Midlands. He is chairperson of Khulumani in KwaZulu-Natal and has served on the Khulumani Board since 2005.
  • Bishop Paul Verryn (Treasurer) is a bishop of the Methodist Church and has provided unswerving support to the Board of Khulumani and counselling and facilitation services to individual Khulumani members and to groups especially in the Vaal.
  • Reverend Luke Pato (Deputy Secretary) is an Anglican priest and former Principal of the College of Transfiguration Anglican seminary in Grahamstown. Reverend Luke recently returned to ministry to a congregation after serving for several years on the Reconciliation Desk of the South African Council of Churches.
