On World AIDS Day Khulumani endorses the Commitment to FOUR ZERO’S

Khulumani members from across the Eastern Cape engaged in a rigorous discussion about the underlying causes of the HIV pandemic in South Africa on Day Two of the Capacity-Building for Participatory Democracy workshop, held at the King’s Lodge in the Hogsback from November 21 to 24, 2011.

Khulumani applauds the public commitment of the state to a set of clear goals in the struggle to achieve a World without AIDS. The commitments are:

  • ZERO new infections
  • ZERO mother-to-child transmissions of the virus
  • ZERO preventable deaths
  • ZERO incidents of discrimination on the basis of HIV status
