Healing of Memories workshops begin the process of overcoming the isolation in which most victims survive as a result of their trauma and the disruption of their systems of attachment and belonging.
hese workshops use drawing and clay work to inform story-telling processes in small groups. These facilitated dialogues between participants serve as often dramatic steps forward in a healing journey of the hearts, minds and souls of apartheid survivors in a safe setting. For the many people who were left out of the TRC process, their integration back into society can indeed begin when their story has been listened to and respected.
