On Tuesday 29 July 2014, film makers commissioned by the Apartheid Museum will be interviewing nine Khulumani members who are survivors of the violations associated with the conflicts of the past. The interviewees will share their experiences of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) and the hopes that the government will finally fully embrace the excellent recommendations of the TRC that held the promise of transforming the lives of survivors and family members of victims of the atrocities of the past. It is now time to finish what we started with the setting up of the TRC in 1996. We need to pick up where these matters were left unresolved.
Today we join our Muslim colleagues and friends in wishing them well on Eid-ul-Fitr as Ramadan, the month of fasting, comes to an end today.
