Officially Offside, a movement of young people who associate with Khulumani and its advocacy agenda, have produced the attached comic art exploration of the meaning and impact of a history of torture on intergenerational relationships.

This week's comic art poster raises important questions about who carries the burden of histories and interpersonal impacts of torture.

December 10 is the 27th Anniversary of the Adoption of the Convention against Torture and other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment by the UN General Assembly on 10 December 1984.

Khulumani is committed to the vision of a World Free from Torture. The organisation will attend the launch of the Article 5 Initiative on December 13 in Cape Town. Read more...
