| The Khulumani Support Group is alarmed that an alleged "back-door amnesty" process is possibly being considered by government.Many of the perpetrators who received amnesty have also received handsome pension payouts, as well as medical and psychological treatment at the State's expense. " |

| | On 29 November, 2004, Judge Sprizzo dismissed the so-called "apartheid lawsuits" brought to the New York Court under the US Alien Tort Claims Act. The Khulumani Support Group is not deterred by the judgment made by Judge Sprizzo in dismissing the Khulumani Lawsuit along with the other so-called "apartheid lawsuits". |

Archbishop Desmond Tutu supports Khulumani lawsuit |

| | By the time of filing of the amicus brief, or legal opinion -in a New York court in support of Khulumani's litigation against specific foreign corporations which aided and abetted the apartheid government, 207 organisations and individuals had added their voices in support of the litigation, including Archbishop Tutu and Joseph Stiglitz. "The decisions (to be) made by the court charged with deciding on this lawsuit, will shape the future of human rights litigation and will reverberate beyond the courthouse walls to the ears of officials and private (citizens) across the world", says New York Lawyer Michael Hausfeld. |
