Today marks 13 years since the first TRC Report containing Reparations & Rehabilitation recommendations was handed to President Mandela. Khulumani demands full implementation of these recommendations.
Today Khulumani launches a second RED CARD Campaign. Khulumani:
RED CARDs a President who ignores survivors who suffered terrible harm in the struggle for freedom & democracy;
RED CARDs Members of Parliament who take Special Pensions while their comrades are destitute;
RED CARDs PRESIDENT ZUMA for his failure to direct The President's Fund to the implementation of the community reparations proposals tabled by Khulumani with the DOJ;
RED CARDs a government that fails to keep its obligations to make reparation for gross human rights violations;
RED CARDs elites from the ground who do not work for justice for victims of gross human rights abuses.
This struggle must be won.
